The Van Tienhoven Foundation for International Nature Protection is an organization that focuses on the protection and conservation of threatened species and ecosystems across the globe. They make this happen by making small grants available to companies that fight for the protection of these species and ecosystems.

A newly improved website that matches the company's identity.
The foundation makes small grants available on a yearly basis. The process of requesting a grant used to be complex and required a lot of back and forth emails between the visitors and the foundation. With that in mind, Van Tienhoven sought help from Trive (where I currently work).
The result
Simplified order process
The old flow of requesting a grant required the visitors to send Van Tienhoven a mail in which they had to specify what they needed. We build a form that had the most common fields and pre-filters submissions that are ineligible.
Basic CMS
Along with the request to redesign the website, Van Tienhoven asked to have some control over the content of the website. We went with Strapi to stay within the javascript tech stack.
What did I learn
Project management
During this project, I’ve learned how to manage a project by presenting my progress to the client.
Peer programming
During this project, I’ve worked together with a junior developer. This gave me the possibility to practise my consultation skills.
